Filling Instructions:
Open the mill From the top: Remove the screw located at the top of the mill.
Fill the appropriate tank:
Pepper: Pour whole peppercorns into the designated compartment. Avoid ground pepper, as it cannot be ground again.
Salt: Use dry coarse salt (crystals). Avoid wet salt or very wet fleur de sel, as they can clump and block the mechanism. Types of salt not to use (undried sea salt).
Don't Overfill: Leave some space at the top to allow the beans to move freely to the grinding mechanism.
Close the grinder: Screw the lid back on securely. Make sure it is tightly closed to prevent beans from escaping and for optimal operation.
Grind Adjustment Instructions:

For a fine grind: Turn the knob clockwise for fine.
For a coarse grind: Unscrew the knob counterclockwise for coarse.
Test: Rotate the mill head a few times over a surface and check the grind size. Adjust until you get the desired coarseness.

Pull or push a lever to select one of the numbered notches (from "fine" to "coarse").
Adjust the tightness of the mill head because the tighter you tighten the head, the finer the grind, and vice versa.
Maintenance Tips (Cleaning, Storage):
Cleaning:
Wood exterior: Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water or harsh cleaning products that could damage the wood. Occasionally, you can use a little wood oil (food-safe) to condition the wood and preserve its appearance.
Grinding mechanism: It is not necessary to clean the internal mechanism frequently. If blockages occur, try grinding dry coarse salt (for pepper) or dry white rice (for salt and pepper) to dislodge the residue. Never use water to clean the mechanism, as this may cause rust (for steel) or damage the ceramic.
Inside the tank: If necessary, empty the grinder and clean the inside with a soft, dry brush.
Storage :
Store your mill in a dry place at room temperature.
Avoid areas of high humidity or excessive heat, which could damage the wood or alter the quality of the spices.
If you are not going to use the grinder for a long time, it is advisable to empty it to prevent the spices from clumping or losing their flavor.
